I thought I had let go
A long time ago
I let go of the pain
I let go of the sorrow
Even I let go of the joy
But not real joy
Only a facade
We played a good part
You and I
We fooled them all
What fools we were
Or maybe just I
Bought into it
Saw it as truth
Facades, facades!
All my life was facades
Sit still
Smile
Never cry
Never feel
Groomed for but to always go on.
Letting go to step through a brand new door,
to new experiences,
new adventures!
Getting to finally choose what stays and what leaves,
life is opening,
expanding,
growing,
full of possibilities!
Embracing the new,
confident my foot is better placed,
guarded from old mistakes,
free to walk new paths!

Such a heartbreaking poem but of course our past and traumas don’t define who we are now. Always keep moving forward!

Exactly! I also just learned about a couple of new essential oils to help. I’m so excited to order them and give them a try!
