Today I decided to share about Thieves essential oil. I use the Thieves Vitality Essential Oil. There is also a Thieves Essential Oil that is not the Vitality. That is for external use only, where the Thieves Vitality can be taken internally.
Now, why on earth would a company call an oil Thieves? That, my friends, is an interesting story!
Back in the 15th century, when the plague ran rampant, a group of thieves (hence the name) would rub various botanicals on themselves so that they could steal from the dead and dying and yet not contract the plague. When they were caught, the thieves were forced to reveal the blend of highly antiviral, antiseptic, antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-infectious essential oils that they used. These oils were then studied and found, in simple terms, to kill lots of bad stuff and none of the good stuff. I could go into all the nerdy details, but basically this stuff, when diffused into the air or used in cleaning products (of which Young Living has multitudes!) kills germs and other yucky stuff to make your house clean and healthy without any harsh and toxic chemicals! Amazing.

Especially this week for us when we all seem to have caught a wonderful cold from a cousin who just had to share! Sharing is great and all, but, please…we have enough on our plates! So, I am diffusing Thieves oil along with other favorite oils to cleanse the air and soothe my sore throat and stuffy head. It is helping.
