I am a tiny green bulb

I push my way up through the cold earth

Up, up, up

Air – finally

I sprout, growing

Toward the sun

Stretch, stretch, stretch

I swell, I ripen

Out comes my color

Small at first

Then bigger, bigger

Pop my petals

Shoot out

Bloom
